Vision

At Kashmir Rechords, our vision is to connect generations through the timeless narratives, memories, and experiences of Kashmir’s inhabitants, offering a rare glimpse into its rich and often misrepresented past. We aim to preserve and celebrate the unique cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, which has a profound socio-cultural history marked by achievements in art, culture, spirituality, medicine, languages, flora, and fauna.

We are committed to highlighting the challenges faced by the common people of Jammu and Kashmir and the armed forces due to terrorism, and its impact on various communities, including the Kashmiri Pandits. Despite being the aborigines of Kashmir, many Kashmiris have been forced to seek refuge in places like Jammu, Delhi, and other parts of the world to safeguard their ancient culture.

Recognizing the extensive body of work written in diverse languages such as Sanskrit, Persian, Hindi, and Urdu, we envision translating these materials to bridge linguistic divides. This effort aims to ensure that those familiar with the Devanagari script can access writings in the Nastaliq script and vice versa, fostering greater understanding and appreciation of the region’s rich literary heritage.

Our vision is to enrich, preserve, and protect the unique culture of the region. To achieve this, Kashmir Rechords seeks to collaborate with individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting ancient languages, history, and culture and helping in teaching Kashmiri to young generation who grew up in exile. We also support initiatives to develop or adopt tech-savvy scripts for Kashmiri or Dogri languages, facilitating their inclusion in modern translation tools like Google Translation.

Through these efforts, we strive to keep the cultural legacy of Jammu and Kashmir alive and accessible for future generations.
